For every £1 donated to Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis, between 6th October-13th October 2026, The Big Give will match the donation, up to £5000! That means that in just one week, we could raise over £10,000!

To get involved and help us raise the money, we're asking people to walk the length of Argyll - that's around 100 miles - between 6th-13th October 2026. 

It's a long way, we know! But that's what makes it a challenge, and that's what'll convince people to sponsor you and support us!

We'd love people to have a go at taking on the challenge either individually or in teams - whatever feels best for you! 

This challenge also isn't limited to walking! If you'd like to run, cycle, or wheel, we'd love you to be involved too!

We've created a downloadable pack of posters, social media posts and other bits to help you get the word out about the challenge and encourage people to donate. You don't have to keep a list of who pledges to donate to you, but you're absolutely welcome to! Find the link to the downloadable pack at the top of this page.

You can walk your 100 miles in your local area, or even at the gym on a treadmill. So long as you're walking 100 miles, it doesn't matter where you walk them or if you do the same 5mile route 20 times! 

Please note that ABRC cannot be held responsible for any of the routes used to walk 100 miles. Please use caution and take safety into account when undertaking any physical activity, either indoors or outdoors.

In order for donations to be matched by the Big Give funding, they must be made through the Big Give wesbite - follow the 'donate here!' button above to find it - and they must be made between 6th October to 13th October 2026. 

Donating through this link, between these dates, ensures that we can get as many of the donations as possible (up to £5000) match funded! 

If we reach the £5000 goal (to be matched to £10,000), we can still accept donations through the above link during those dates, they just won't be matched.
