  • At Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis, we know that sexual violence is never the survivor's fault.

We support survivors of recent rape, childhood sexual abuse, stalking, historic abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation (exchanging sex for money, shelter, food or transport). We offer support to survivors who are over the age of 12, regardless of their gender.

  • Argyll and Bute Rape Crisis is a charity dedicated to supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse.

We have centres based in Dunoon, Oban, Rothesay, Helenburgh and Lochgilphead.

Our centres and support workers are spread across Argyll and Bute, meaning that we have various services in most areas, whether that be face to face support, phone support, email support or even support via video call.

  • All of our staff are extensively trained in helping to support survivors from all forms of sexual abuse and violence.

We also support non-offending friends and family members of survivors, as we know that sexual trauma can impact those who are close to the survivor.

There is never any pressure from us to report to the police or not. We'll support you either way.

We accept referrals from GPs and other agencies, as well as

    self-referrals, to our services.
